Request for Pre-Proposals - Apple and Apple Crop Protection

The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission is accepting pre-proposals for new funding consideration for the 2010 Apple and Apple Crop Protection Research Review. The Review will be held at the Confluence Technology Center in Wenatchee WA January 27-29. The advisory committees met in August and outlined their research priorities for the coming year. Pre-proposals and funding decisions will be made based on proposals that address items found on these lists. These priorities have been compiled and The files can be viewed by clicking on the links below.

All pre-proposals must be submitted using the “pre-proposal form” which can be found in the "Proposals & Reports" section of this site. Please review the pre-proposal guidelines and then select “pre-proposals” to download the required page. Complete the required information and submit to Kathy Schmidt by the deadline date.

 

Pre-proposal files will be compiled and distributed to the apple and apple crop protection advisory committees for review and vote. (Note: pre-proposal submissions are for new proposals only. Continuing and final reports do not require pre-proposal submission.) By December 4, researchers will be notified whether or not they are invited to present their full proposal at the Review.

Here are important dates to remember:

1. Pre-proposals submission deadline: November 19 – 5:00pm PST
2. New proposals plus continuing and final reports deadlne: January 6 – 5:00pm PST
3. PowerPoint show submission: January 20 - 5:00pm PST
