Request for Pre-proposals
The Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission, in partnership with the Oregon Sweet Cherry Commission and the California Cherry Advisory Board is accepting pre-proposals for new funding consideration for the 2009 Northwest Cherry Research Review. The Review will be held at the Hood River Best Western in Hood River, Oregon, November 13-14, 2008. Interested researchers are encouraged to view the 2009 research priority list as set by the cherry research committee on August 19th. To view this list, click here.

All pre-proposals must be submitted using the “Pre-proposal form” which can be found on this website. Select "External Research" then  “Report and Proposals” from the menu located on the right of the page. Please review the reports & proposal guidelines and then select “pre-proposals” to download the required page. Complete the required information and submit to kathy@treefruitresearch.com by the deadline date.

Pre-proposal forms have changed. Please download the most current version.

Pre-proposal files will be compiled and distributed to the cherry sub-committee for review and vote. By October 3, researchers will be notified whether or not they are invited to present their full proposal at the Review.

Here are important dates to remember:

1. Pre-proposals submission deadline: September 25 – 5:00pm PST

2. Deadline for submission of approved proposals plus continuing and final reports: October 23 – 5:00pm PST

3. PowerPoint show submission: November 7 - 5:00pm PST

The 2009 NW Cherry Research Review will be held November 13-14, 2008 at the Best Western Hood River in Hood River, Oregon.
